Our Sustainability Efforts
WE ARE COMMITTED TO MINIMIZING OUR ENVITONMENTAL IMPACT, WHILE CONTRIBUTING TO A THRIVING, SUSTAINABLE AND INCLUSIVE WORLD
We provide products all around the world. Our increasing brand presence and the fact that more and more consumers appreciate our products brings both opportunities and challenges in terms of sustainability. With that in mind, we have divided our sustainability efforts into four focus areas, described here below. But this is just a summary – we would love to tell you more, so feel free to contact us.
MINIMIZING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
With a growing business comes an increasing responsibility to ensure that we minimize our environmental impact. Given the consequences of global warming, reducing carbon emissions across our value chain is the key focus of our sustainability efforts.
We have made great progress by reducing the packaging materials and increased the share of recycled materials we use. But our long-term efforts also include the ingredients of our products, production efficiency, and ensuring that renewable energy is used both by our offices and our production. Together with our logistics partners, we have also taken several steps to reduce the footprint of our products in terms of transportation.

STANDARDS AND REPORTING – WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED
We adhere to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and report annually to platforms such as CDP and EcoVadis. During 2024, we have also taken decisive steps to prepare for the European Union’s upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). These efforts include a comprehensive materiality analysis and a gap analysis to evaluate which steps we can or need to take already now to ensure compliant reporting once the directive comes into force. We recognize that CSRD will have huge impact on Vitamin Well and other European companies, and we prepare accordingly.
INSPIRE AN ACTIVE AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Our company was founded on the belief that people crave healthy alternatives without having to sacrifice great taste. As more and more consumers fall in love with our products, our possibility to influence and motive beyond their consumption also grows. We have decided to use our voice and influence to inspire a healthy and active lifestyle.
Through our brands, we support a great number of truly inspiring personalities and events. Our ambassadors and partnerships are many and can be found in all our markets, not limited by sport or gender. We support world-class athletes and global championships as well as local clubs and friendly races. Whenever it is possible, we bring our athlete partners to public events and activities open for anyone to join. It is all about creating energy together. To move and exercise, no matter where you come from or what level you start at.
VITAMIN WELL RUN OF HOPE
Vitamin Well Run of Hope has been an annual tradition for Vitamin Well in Sweden for nine years. Aiming to raise funds to the fight against cancer, it consists of a big running race in Stockholm and a great number of local races all over Sweden. It provides an opportunity for anyone to both exercise and support a good cause at the same time – all starting fees and raised funds goes to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. In 2023, Run of Hope raised over 1.5 million SEK in total.
COMPANY-WIDE EFFORTS
To ensure our efforts are reflected throughout our markets, we set annual targets for each market. For example, during 2024 we want all our markets with an office to arrange at least one event where the public is invited and inspired to exercises, as well support at least one initiative which contributes to a good cause. We also do in-store campaigns and strive to make sure that all our brand ambassadors also encourage a healthy and active lifestyle
PROMOTE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION
We are a global company, with employees all over the world, and our diversity is a great asset. We continuously strive to ensure that we have an inclusive workplace environment and a business culture in which all our employees are treated with dignity, decency, and respect.
But our commitment to DE&I also includes working through our value chain to ensure that our partners share and uphold our values. We also want our strong brand and ambassadors to be inclusive and inspiring to anyone. Last, but not least, we want to contribute to the fight against social inclusion, by promoting the social inclusion of sports.
DEJAN KULUSEVSKI FOOTBALL DAY
Together with the Stockholm Football Association, we are conducting a series of training sessions together with well-known football stars, specifically for children in socioeconomically prioritized areas. The goal is to highlight the social inclusion of sport, to fight different kinds of social exclusion.
One of our sessions was done together with footballer Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham). Young players got to meet Dejan and several professional coaches, during an incredible day filled with energy, friendship and sport.
COMPANY-WIDE EFFORTS
For 2024, we have tasked all our markets with an office to support events that promotes the social inclusion of sports, targeting groups that risks social exclusion. We have launched a manager training focused on an inclusive work environment, and we are planning a training for all employees. Moreover, we also ensure our ambassadors contributes to inclusiveness.
ENSURE GOOD GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE
While we are rapidly expanding internationally. Vitamin Well is still very much a Swedish company, promoting Scandinavian values and business ethics. We comply with Swedish corporate law, including anti-corruption, privacy, anti-money laundering, harassment, health and safety, whistleblowing and more. Our products, packaging and marketing complies with all relevant EU, US and local legislation. For example, all vitamin and mineral claims that are stated on our bottles are based on the recommendations and regulation from the European Food and Safety Agency.
Our Partner Code of Conduct and its relevant sub-policies enforce the same demands and expectations on our partners within our value chain. Our ambition is to expand on this topic and continue to include a wider range of companies within our value chain.
